In short
- This website has no accounts, no log-in and no form that sends or stores messages.
- We use Google Analytics 4 to see how many visits the site gets and which pages are read most, without ads. Its cookies and full measurement happen only if you agree; before that, or after "No, thanks", only brief cookieless signals are sent to Google.
- Whatever you choose, Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page views and page speed on every visit; according to Cloudflare it uses no cookies.
- You can change your choice at any time with the "Privacy settings" link at the bottom of every page.
Visit statistics (Google Analytics 4)
If you press "Accept" in the privacy notice, Google Analytics 4, a service of Google, collects general statistics about the visit, such as:
- the pages that are opened, and the approximate time spent;
- the approximate location (country and city);
- the type of device, browser, operating system and language;
- how the site was reached (for example from a search engine or a link on another site);
- some interactions the service measures automatically, such as scrolling to the end of a page, clicking a link to another site, or downloading a PDF book.
Google then stores statistics cookies (_ga and _ga_*) in your browser to recognise repeat visits from the same browser. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Advertising features, ad personalisation and Google signals are switched off on this site.
Before you choose, or if you press "No, thanks", no statistics cookies are stored, but the page sends Google brief cookieless signals without a lasting identifier for you (such as "a page was opened"), which Google uses to estimate the overall number of visits.
The site does not send Google visitors' names, e-mail addresses, phone numbers or the text of their messages. To learn more: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Performance measurement by Cloudflare
On every visit, this site also runs performance measurement by Cloudflare Web Analytics, a service of Cloudflare, Inc., which the site owner has enabled through Cloudflare. It is not tied to your choice in the privacy notice: it runs whether you press "Accept", "No, thanks", or have not yet chosen.
Purpose: to measure how many pages are viewed and how fast they load (page-load timing and Core Web Vitals, which are real-user performance metrics) so the site stays fast.
The data this measurement processes:
- the page (URL) requested; Cloudflare does not log query strings;
- the referrer site;
- the country;
- the type of device, browser and operating system;
- performance timings and view counts.
According to Cloudflare, this service does not use cookies, localStorage or any other client-side state to collect usage metrics, does not "fingerprint" individuals via IP address, User Agent or other data for analytics, and does not track individual users across sites. Cloudflare's documentation also notes that the script receives the visitor's IP address during normal request handling, but that Cloudflare discards it at the nearest Cloudflare data centre and does not store it in its core databases or logs.
The data from this measurement is processed by Cloudflare, Inc. as the service provider. The script is separate from the rest of the site (it is loaded from the domain static.cloudflareinsights.com); you can block it with a content blocker, and the site works without it. Your choice and how to change it
Your choice ("Accept" or "No, thanks") is kept only in your browser (in its local storage, localStorage) and never reaches us; we ask again after 12 months. You can change it at any time with the "Privacy settings" link at the bottom of every page (this choice does not affect Cloudflare's measurement); choosing "No, thanks" deletes any existing _ga cookies. Clearing this site's data in your browser settings also erases the choice, and the notice appears again.
If JavaScript is switched off in your browser, the statistics scripts (Google's and Cloudflare's) do not run at all and the site works as usual.
WhatsApp message from the contact page
The name and message you type on the contact page are not sent to this website, not stored by it and do not reach Google Analytics: your browser turns them into a WhatsApp link and opens WhatsApp with the message ready, and you press "Send" there yourself. From then on, WhatsApp's privacy policy applies.
Videos (YouTube)
Videos appear on the site as thumbnails stored on the site itself. The YouTube player is loaded only after you press play, and then from the domain youtube-nocookie.com (YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode); Google's and YouTube's policies apply to it.
Fonts (Google Fonts)
The site's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com) on every visit, whatever you choose in the privacy notice; your browser therefore connects to Google's servers, which, as with any internet connection, see your device's IP address and browser type.
Links to other sites, and hosting
The site links to Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp and other websites; once you open them, their own policies apply. As with any website, the hosting provider may keep ordinary technical logs (such as the IP address, the time and the page requested) to run and protect the site.
